Self Register – Contactless Booking

Registering for a room just got easier at Baker’s Motel, when you walk in to the office you will see an I-pad attached to the wall.  Simply push the button on the right and start the registering process, you will need a credit card to use this system but it does stream line the process and eliminates the need for seeing a clerk.

Once you have registered either a code will be emailed to you or an e-key will be sent to your phone if you have the ttlock app downloaded on your phone.  Then you simply go to your room with the code, tap on the lock screen then when it lights up enter the code and press the key icon in the bottom right and enter your room.

Yes it is that easy!
Our office still closes usually in the winter around 9 pm though you can register online at this website using your smartphone for that late arrival and I can send you a code to access the room.

2020 Slow Start with COVID19

2020 Slow Start with COVID19

Even though our Motel like all properties is hit with COVID19 we had already planned some upgrades early on in the year so we went ahead and moved forward with the updates which include a complete change from smoking to non-smoking on two rooms so they got everything from paint, lights, new fixtures in bathrooms with new toilet, sink mirrors, lighting then in the main room new heater-air unit beds, flooring and furniture all were changed.

Additionally we changed the flooring also in 6 more rooms to a high-end laminate flooring which looks great and will wear like iron, these rooms will be great for anyone with allergies so we will call the the clean rooms.

We are sure that you will love these rooms, we have also updated many vanities and toilets in our rooms also, all of the new flooring rooms also received new bathroom doors which are 6-panel wood doors.

Busy Year in 2017 – Major Update

We performed a major update this year for which we had to save for this upgrade and we hope to complete the job next years as we hope to have another good year. A local company was used to install a new metal roof on rooms 1-42 encompassing over 200 squares of the roof, our new metal roof will not only provide years of worry-free operation it protects all of the work we have done on the interior for many years to come.
Along with the new metal roof on the property, we have added new rubber roof on 1-10 the flat area and above the office again to provide many years of protection to all of our updates on the inside of the property. Most of our guests appreciate the historic value of this unique property as we have been providing guests with quality lodging for over 80 years in 2017 and hope to continue for many more years with the help of all of our great customers who continue to return to visit us year after year. Our returning customers see that we are continually updating our property while maintaining many of the historic features.

Rest assured that we will continue to update our property each year, some updates like the roof are very expensive so we have to put some room updates on the back burner but we maintain our rooms to always be clean and comfortable and have plans for many additional updates in the coming years.

All Materials were purchased locally from Modern Builders of Norwich, Ohio and we hired a local contractor based in Byesville, Ohio – Pro Builders LLC. to install the metal roof both companies provided us with an excellent value for the money and we are very pleased with the quality of work.  2018 this roofing project has been completed along with many new locks on our doors.
